The Coalition of Public Independent Charter Schools is a national voice for community-based public charter schools. We celebrate and support innovative, inclusive, and transparent approaches to education.
CPICS connects school leaders and communities by sharing effective practices through advocacy and service.

We provide charter school leaders with resources and services they need to make the best decisions for their students, families, staff and stakeholders. We work with policy makers at the state and federal levels to advocate for policies that support independent charter schools and work to the benefit of all public education. We aim to increase collaborations between schools and school leaders nationwide. This exchange of ideas not only increases best practices but also creates more efficiency in the charter community.
