The Foundation, managed by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation in partnership with Wildhorse Casino, supports government, tribal, and nonprofit organizations in its region. Education is one area of interest.

The Wildhorse Foundation is managed by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) in partnership with Wildhorse Resort and Casino. CTUIR is a modern Tribal government representing the Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla people, who have lived in the northeastern Oregon and southeastern Washington region for thousands of years. The Foundation funds projects in the broad areas of the arts, cultural activities, education, environmental protection, gambling addiction prevention, education and treatment, historic preservation, public health, public safety, and salmon restoration.
Government, Tribal, and nonprofit organizations in the following areas:
- Morrow, Umatilla, Union, and Wallowa counties in Oregon.
- The Tribes’ ceded territory in Washington, which is most of Benton, Columbia, and Walla Walla Counties
(see map on Foundation website). - Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.
- Any Native American Tribal government agency or Native
- American charitable organization with its principal office and base of operations within the State of Oregon.
- Any national or regional Indian organization.
- $10,500 to Stanfield Secondary School (Stanfield, OR) to update the school’s weight room.
- $10,000 to North Powder Charter School (North Powder, OR) to purchase outside play structures.
- $10,000 to Wallowa School Foundation (Wallowa, OR) to purchase and install lights at the Wallowa
football field. - $7,500 to Athena Elementary School (Athena, OR) for a laptop lab for the school.
